AI Platform Engineer for Developer Experience

Job summary

SEB is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Developer Experience area, building and evolving platforms and services that support software engineering across SEB.

This role blends hands-on engineering with platform thinking, focusing on secure, scalable capabilities and AI-enabled development workflows for the bank. You will collaborate with PM, architects, security, and other teams to design, implement, and operate CI/CD, automation, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to improve systems, processes, and developer experience.
• Solid experience in platform engineering and/or developer experience
• Hands-on experience building or operating CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation, ideally with GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Deep hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes (OpenShift, GKE, or similar) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or similar)
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred; Azure or AWS also relevant) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• Good communication skills in English
• A degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
• A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in enabling others

Responsibilities

• Explore and implement AI initiatives in development, to execute on the AI transformation strategy, from identifying needs to driving adoption
• Contribute to transforming the way SEB developers will work and Software Development Life Cycle in the Agentic Engineering World
• Design and build automations, integrations, and standardized workflows
• Contribute to shared standards, governance, and tooling together with architects, security, and peer platform teams
• Grow adoption through documentation, tutorials, and presentations
• Continuously improve the reliability, usability, and efficiency in the services we provide
