Job summary

Airon.ai seeks a Systems Engineer to own the bare-metal server platform powering customer AI workloads. You will work hands-on with GPU servers, firmware, OS provisioning and orchestration, driving architecture decisions from inception to deployment.

You will partner with second line, networks and data centre teams, shaping reliability and performance. The role requires hands-on Linux expertise, GPU tooling experience, and strong automation skills in Terraform and Python.

Qualifications

• Experience running large fleets of Linux servers in production.
• Hands-on with NVIDIA GPU servers, drivers and tooling, or comparable accelerator hardware.
• Foundational TCP/IP networking experience.
• Proficient with configuration management and automation (Terraform, Python); avoid manual steps.
• Ability to write bash scripts when needed.
• Root cause analysis to durable solutions; document findings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solutions from architecture to deployment and monitoring.
• Contribute to technical decisions and shape architecture and engineering practices.
• Improve reliability, performance and scalability as the business grows.
• Use AI and modern tooling to accelerate development and ops.
• Own the bare-metal server platform: hardware install, firmware/BIOS updates, OS provisioning, GPU drivers and orchestration.
• Handle escalations from second line to root cause; address hardware/firmware issues.
• Automate node lifecycle from rack to customer-ready node to scale capacity.
• Define burn-in, validation and monitoring requirements for new nodes.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors on faults, RMA and firmware roadmaps.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
