Are you motivated by a role where your analytical skills and commercial mindset go hand in hand?
We are looking for an Affinity & Partnership Underwriter to join our Nordic Accident & Health (A&H) team in Stockholm. In the Nordics, we have a unique way of driving business through partnerships — a model so specialized it distinguishes us from other AIG offices worldwide. In this role, you bridge the gap between technical underwriting and commercial execution.
For the right candidate, this role is the perfect mix of technical mastery of our Affinity products and Account Management. Working with Affinity means building the bridge between AIG and our partners’ customers (B2B2C). You will work in a close‑knit duo with our Partnership Development Manager — they identify and open the doors to new partnerships, while you act as the technical and commercial anchor. You ensure that our partnership programs are profitable, operationally sound and deliver a strong value proposition to our clients and the end‑consumer.
What's in it for you?
- Account Ownership: You take full responsibility for your own partner accounts, acting as the commercial face of our programs and driving long‑term account management.
- Strategic Influence: You drive the development of our products and value proposition, ensuring AIG remains the preferred partner in the market.
- Nordic Integration: You are part of a fully integrated Nordic unit of 30 A&H professionals, giving you access to deep technical expertise across the region.
- Swedish Benefits: 30 days of annual vacation, occupational pension, private health insurance and a wellness allowance.
Your impact and responsibilities
- Account Management: You are the primary point of contact for our partners, hosting status and renewal meetings and ensuring high service levels.
- Partnership Collaboration: You partner with the Partnership Development Manager to secure the technical foundation for new and existing programs.
- Value Proposition: You prepare and present professional tenders and product solutions, translating complex data into commercial advantages for our partners.
- Portfolio Analysis: You conduct regular reviews of portfolio performance and use your insights to suggest product or pricing adjustments.
- Continuous Improvement: You develop and maintain best practices for our partnership underwriting to ensure efficiency and quality.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Account Management and data handling. While experience from insurance or the broader financial sector is a plus, it is not a requirement.
- You see yourself as proactive, curious and taking pride in delivering quality work.
- Readiness for a commercial and autonomous challenge, where you step up to take full ownership of your portfolio and stakeholder relationships.
- An analytical mindset, being comfortable translating data into actionable business decisions.
- Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
