We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based wound care for patients with acute and chronic wounds. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field — mandatory
- Valid professional license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, including at least 1–2 years in wound or skin care
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Strong knowledge of wound assessment, staging, and evidence-based management
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of CBAHI standards and quality improvement practices related to wound management
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including staging and documentation
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on best practices
- Select and apply appropriate dressings and wound care products
- Manage and monitor Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT/VAC) systems
- Ensure infection prevention and control measures during all wound care procedures
- Provide pain management and comfort interventions during treatment
- Educate patients and families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Train and support clinical staff on wound care practices and competencies
- Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and rehabilitation teams to optimize wound healing outcomes
- Monitor and report wound healing progress, incidence rates, and related data
- Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
