Job summary

A staffing agency in Saudi Arabia is seeking a knowledgeable individual to manage insulation work permits in a large industrial site. The successful candidate will coordinate with operations and maintenance, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and maintain effective communication regarding permit status. Prior experience in oil & gas permit-to-work systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years' experience with permit-to-work systems in industrial sites.
  • Familiarity with insulation materials and processes is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of hot work procedures required.

  • Receive and review daily work permit requests related to insulation.
  • Verify relevant pre-requisites are completed before permit issue.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance regarding permit issuance.

Skills

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Receive and review daily work permit requests related to insulation (hot work, cold work, LOTO, confined space, etc.).
  • Verify relevant pre-requisites are completed before permit issue (isolation, gas test, scaffolding, fire watch, PPE, JSA).
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Insulation crew to confirm isolation points and safe access.
  • Ensure permits are correctly filled, authorized and time-boxed per PTW policy.
  • Monitor ongoing insulation jobs for compliance with permit conditions; close permits after satisfactory completion and hand-back.
  • Ensure all permit documentation is filed and records are updated.
  • Report and escalate any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or permit breaches immediately.
  • Assist in toolbox talks and pre-job safety briefings related to insulation activities.
  • Support incident investigations related to permit failures when required.
  • Maintain effective communication with shift supervisors and control room regarding permit status.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma / technical certificate in mechanical/insulation/trade.
  • Minimum 2–5 years’ experience working with permit-to-work systems in oil & gas, petrochemical, or large industrial sites — experience specifically with insulation activities preferred.
  • Familiarity with common insulation materials and processes (cold insulation, hot insulation, jacketing) is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of LOTO, gas testing, confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
