A leading oil and gas service provider is seeking a Field Technician to assist the field engineer with oil and gas operations in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role includes rigging up wireline equipment, maintaining pressure control systems, and ensuring the maintenance of tools and materials. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of cased hole wireline experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience using wireline 10k pressure control equipment is essential.
• Valid Heavy vehicle driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down of wireline equipment.
• Operate and maintain pressure control equipment.
• Perform wireline cable checks and tools preventative maintenance.
• Prepare and perform pre-job and post-job duties.
• Maintain appropriate levels of inventory for equipment and supplies.
• Calibrate tools and equipment in conjunction with wireline unit.
• Operate the wireline unit winch during field operations.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Purpose

To work under the supervision of the field engineer in oil and gas wells, in order to deliver on Alkhorayef Petroleum’s contractual agreements.

Deliver Alkhorayef Petroleum operational activities using adopted policies and procedures, liaise and maintain excellent relationship with client in the field.

Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down of wireline equipment.
• Operate and maintain pressure control equipment and rig up equipment.
• Perform wireline cable checks, heads and collector assembly, and tools preventative maintenance.
• Prepare for jobs and performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post-job duties.
• Determine need of equipment and supplies and maintains appropriate levels of inventory.
• Prepare the wireline unit and assist in tools and equipment calibrations.
• Direct responsible for wireline unit winch during the operation at the field.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to perform various wireline functions including winch operation, basic depth control, tension, stuck, stranded armor and lost grease.
• Maintain wireline unit, tools, equipment and facilities in a neat and workable condition.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor.
