Qualifications

Job description

To supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe handling of both normal and food cargo in compliance with company, client, and QHSE standards.

Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations Management – Supervise all daily warehouse activities including receiving, put‑away, storage, order preparation, and dispatch. Ensure all handling and storage processes meet client and company standards, especially for food and temperature‑controlled products. Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and resources to achieve operational targets. Monitor inbound and outbound schedules to maintain smooth workflow and timely deliveries. Ensure proper segregation between food and non‑food products to prevent contamination.

  • Inventory Control – Ensure accurate stock handling and system transactions (GRN, picking, cycle count, stock adjustments). Conduct regular cycle counts and support full inventory checks. Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, or product loss. Coordinate closely with inventory control and system support teams to ensure accuracy and traceability.

  • Team Supervision & Development – Lead, coach, and monitor warehouse team members (operators, pickers, forklift drivers, etc.). Conduct daily shift briefings to communicate priorities, safety reminders, and KPIs. Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity standards are maintained. Support staff training on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and QHSE compliance.

  • Quality, Safety & Hygiene Compliance – Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with QHSE standards and procedures. Enforce proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials and equipment. Support QHSE inspections and implement corrective actions as required. Maintain warehouse hygiene and housekeeping standards, especially in food handling areas. Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or product non‑conformities to management immediately.

  • Coordination & Communication – Liaise with transportation, planning, customer service, and QHSE teams to ensure smooth operation flow. Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments regarding order status, priorities, and challenges. Ensure all documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time (shift reports, dispatch logs, etc.).

  • Continuous Improvement – Identify operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support automation, digital reporting, and KPI monitoring initiatives. Encourage a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement among the warehouse team.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience in 4PL / 3PL logistics environments with both food and general cargo operations.

  • Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory control processes.

  • Familiarity with QHSE and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000 preferred).
