Qualifications

Job description

The Warehouse Operations Manager (3PL) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of warehouse operations for multiple clients within a third-party logistics environment. The role ensures the effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with contractual service level agreements (SLAs). The manager oversees the workforce, warehouse systems, and processes to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement in productivity, cost, and service quality.

Your Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and returns management. Ensure operations meet client SLAs and performance KPIs (accuracy, on-time delivery, fill rate, etc.). Plan and allocate resources effectively based on workload forecasts and client priorities. Coordinate closely with the transportation and customer service teams for seamless end-to-end logistics. Develop and enforce operational procedures and standard work instructions to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary operational contact for assigned clients, ensuring clear communication and strong business relationships. Participate in client reviews, audits, and performance meetings. Respond to client inquiries and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally. Identify opportunities for service improvements and cost optimization within the client account.
  • People Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate warehouse supervisors, team leaders, and staff to achieve operational goals. Set clear performance objectives and ensure accountability across all shifts. Foster a positive, safe, and performance-driven culture within the warehouse team.
  • Inventory & System Control: Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and proper WMS usage. Ensure all inbound/outbound transactions are processed accurately in the system. Support system implementation and upgrades to improve operational control and reporting.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with HSE standards, warehouse safety protocols, and client-specific requirements. Conduct regular audits, safety drills, and inspections. Maintain proper documentation and reporting for internal and external audits.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Monitor daily performance and prepare weekly/monthly operational reports and KPI dashboards. Analyze trends to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective or preventive measures. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and service enhancement.
Your Qualifications
