Job summary

A VVIP Operator in the Middle East is seeking a Vice President Technical to lead compliance with maintenance regulations and enhance fleet reliability. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of airline experience in a CAMO and/or Part-145 environment, including 5 years in management, and must demonstrate a proven ability to lead large maintenance organizations effectively. This permanent role offers a dynamic work environment and a chance to shape operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in a CAMO and/or Part-145 environment.
  • 5+ years in a management position.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a maintenance organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop processes for maintenance activities to comply with regulations.
  • Create effective organizational structures within the Technical department.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Skills

15 years airline experience in a CAMO and/or Part-145 environment
Experience in operational environments, ideally VIP operations
Strong understanding of operational excellence

Education

Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum of Bachelor’s level
Job description

Zenon is delighted to be commissioned by a VVIP Operator based in the Middle East who is looking to engage a Vice President Technical on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that all maintenance activities (Part-145) for the clients fleet are fully compliant with all regulations
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure Part-M / Part-CAMO activities for the clients fleet comply with all regulations
  • Establish and enhance processes to increase and maintain fleet reliability and aircraft availability
  • Create the most effective and efficient organisational structure within the clients Technical department to achieve quality, safety and cost-effectiveness objectives
  • Develop processes to log and action all cabin defects to maintain VIP / VVIP cabin standards across the fleet
  • Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed on time, within budget and in accordance with regulations, standards and principal requirements
  • Coordinate efficiently with the clients departments regarding fleet plan changes, maintenance programmes and budget preparation
  • Act as the primary interface with the clients Departments and Technical (for subcontracted tasks) to ensure legal compliance, operational continuity and cost optimisation
  • Manage overall performance to maintain the required aircraft internal and external appearance standards
  • Ensure effective workload management aligned with manpower capacity and capability
  • Oversee the development of human resources to improve competency, productivity and succession planning
  • Establish departmental and team objectives in alignment with overall business goals
  • Supervise and lead employees, directing daily activities, recruiting, training, developing and disciplining staff as required to ensure a high standard of service delivery
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and root-cause analysis within the department
Minimum Skills and Experience
  • Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum of Bachelor’s level
  • Minimum 15 years airline experience in a CAMO and / or Part-145 environment
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position
  • Experience in operational environments, ideally VIP operations
  • Proven track record in leading, managing and developing a large maintenance organisation, including responsibility for planning and financial performance
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence, quality, health and safety, and technical standards
