Ferrero is seeking a dynamic Traditional Trade Channel Head to lead our strategy and growth in the traditional trade sector; covering independent retailers, wholesalers, and neighborhood shops. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, driving perfect store execution, expanding numeric distribution, and delivering commercial excellence across this critical channel.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Traditional Trade Channel Manager, you will develop and execute the Traditional Trade strategy to drive market share and penetration. You will manage relationships with key partners, distributors, and wholesalers to ensure alignment and deliver high service levels throughout the channel. Your responsibilities will include leading field execution plans in general trade outlets to secure product visibility, availability, and pricing compliance. You will also oversee promotional planning and trade investments, optimizing return on investment and maximizing in-market impact.

Collaboration with marketing, category management, and supply chain teams is crucial to support product launches and guarantee consistent activation in the market. Additionally, you will analyze channel performance, customer data, and market trends to recommend and drive growth initiatives. Key performance indicators for this position include volume and revenue growth in traditional trade, numeric distribution and customer expansion, execution compliance for visibility, availability, and pricing, distributor performance and stock availability, as well as the return on investment for trade investments and promotions.

You will lead your team by setting objectives, managing performance, and facilitating training. You are responsible for compliance, efficient resource management, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive, collaborative culture to support productivity and employee growth.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or Marketing and at least 10 to 12 years of experience in FMCG sales management, with a particular focus on traditional or general trade.

You have a strong understanding of distributor networks, local market dynamics, and channel execution is required. Experience in sweet snacks, confectionery, or impulse categories is an advantage.

Proficiency in sales analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, and trade spend tools is important for success in this role.
