Job Title:

Manager, Trade Marketing

Reports to:

Director, Branding & Communication

Job Purpose:

The Trade Marketing Manager promotes and sells travel products through intermediaries such as travel agents and tour operators. By building strong relationships with these partners and enhancing brand visibility, the manager aims to increase bookings and revenue. Responsibilities include strategic planning, market research, creating promotional materials, organizing events, and providing support and training to partners. Effective management of these activities ensures that travel products are successfully marketed through trade channels, contributing to business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute comprehensive trade marketing strategies.
  • Establish effective processes and foster collaboration across departments.
  • Create joint marketing plans with preferred partners to strengthen market presence and drive growth.
2. Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with trade partners.
  • Provide training, support, and continuous communication.
  • Conduct market visits with the sales team to strengthen relationships and drive mutual success.
3. Sales, Marketing Promotions & Events
  • Manage promotional and advertising materials in collaboration with trade partners.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all campaigns.
  • Execute joint marketing plans, activations, and outdoor initiatives in malls and offices to increase sales.
  • Align and manage participation in regional and international trade events.
4. Direct Channels Activation
  • Develop and communicate product training materials for contact centers.
  • Lead activations in malls and corporate environments to increase awareness and drive direct sales.
5. Market Research & Trade Community Management
  • Gather and analyze feedback from trade partners to enhance offerings.
  • Maintain and update the trade partners portal to improve engagement.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and tactics.
6. International Markets Management & Promotion
  • Identify potential international source markets through research.
  • Manage advertising and promotional campaigns to ensure brand awareness in key markets.
  • Plan and execute international trade marketing plans empowering partners to lead local initiatives.
7. Leadership & Management
  • Manage the team to ensure effective implementation of processes and achievement of objectives.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or a related discipline (required).
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (preferred).
