Wood is currently looking for a TPE II / Assistant Telecomms Engineer to work on engineering and project management services with our Telecoms & Security team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities
- Proven track record of working on FEED & EPC projects for oil & gas facilities.
- Provide telecommunication discipline expertise in support of the client’s team for the FEED engineering of the petrochemical facilities.
- Work independently and coordinate with other disciplines to complete the telecommunications design.
- Be commercially aware and conscious of contractual issues as per Wood guidelines.
- Full knowledge of telecommunication systems: LAN, PABX, CCTV, Radio, PAGA, Ethernet wireless, SDH/PDH, Weather Monitoring for developing FEED and details engineering specifications.
- Design and installation of OSP cabling and communication hardware.
- Provide telecom infrastructure requirements for both security and instrumentation.

Expected qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electronics & Communications / Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Telecom Design in Oil & Gas and Infrastructure sectors.
- Postgraduate qualifications preferred.
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in relevant telecommunication and IT work for Communication or Network Engineer.
- Certified designer for outside plant cabling or BICSI certified; certification required.
- Knowledge of international codes and specs for safety critical systems beneficial.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status preferred.
