Job summary

A leading electrical manufacturing firm in Eastern Province, Dammam, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and over 5 years of related experience. You will plan and conduct tests on transformers and ensure compliance with relevant quality standards. Strong knowledge of ISO standards is required, along with the ability to conduct type tests and special tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality Assurance/Production.
• Ability to conduct Special Tests & Type Tests.
• Conversant with parameters related to Quality Assurance and Inspections.

Job description

1. Plan and conduct all electrical (routine) tests on transformers.
2. Conducting type Test 7 Special Test on Transformers, Substations & LV Panels.
3. Raising Non-conformance Reports whenever failure/fault observed during testing.
4. Planning test facility, instrument Calibration and Validation of all measuring Instruments.
5. Preparation / Issuance of Routine Test Certificates Type / Special Test Reports and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
6. Carry out customer witness inspections
7. Coordinating After Sales Services / Under Warranty Services
8. Comply with QMS & EMS Requirements.

Skills

1. Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality Assurance / Production in a reputed firm engaged in manufacturing of Electrical Equipment like transformers, substations, LV Panels etc.
2. Ability to conduct Special Test & Type Test
3. Awareness on ISO 9001 Quality Management System & ISO 14001 Environment Management Systems.
4. Conversant with parameters related to Quality Assurance, Inspections, Testing and International Standards.
5. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

The candidate should answer the following two questions with evidence:

1. Is the candidate capable of using Distribution testing transformer system for testing, any advanced testing system or at least Motor Generator set as an input source for testing?
2. Is the candidate capable of making and reporting type/ special tests for distribution/power transformers (SFRA, Sound test, power factor)?
