Job summary

A leading pharma manufacturer in Saudi Arabia is seeking a technician to perform welding duties, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with EHS and GMP procedures. Ideal candidates will have experience with various welding techniques and the ability to operate several types of machinery. This role requires flexibility in working hours and a strong attention to detail regarding SOPs and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the immediate supervisor and manage orders.
  • Perform various welding duties using different techniques.
  • Set up and modify parts and equipment as required.
  • Operate forklifts, grinders, and other tools.
  • Complete preventive maintenance to keep equipment operational.
  • Work additional hours when needed.
  • Follow EHS work permits before starting engineering tasks.
  • Document deviations and non-conformances.
  • Execute notifications on time with quality assurance.
  • Implement and review SOPs as required.
  • Prepare equipment lists and maintenance plans.
Job description
Job Responsibilities
  1. To report and get order to his immediate supervisor.
  2. Perform welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding).
  3. Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.
  4. Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, and Air Arc.
  5. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs and complete the daily check sheets.
  6. Flexibility to work additional hours beyond and consecutively with core work schedule when needed.
Mandatory Job Responsibilities
  1. Before starting Engineering work, ensure that technician obtained EHS work permitted as required.
  2. Ensure that deviation and non-conformances are investigated or documented.
  3. Ensure that all Notifications are executed and completed on time without any delay, if any notification has observed required change control or deviation, to be coordinated to Quality Assurance.
  4. Ensure all SOPs are implemented and followed by the technical team for respective sections,
  5. Ensure that SOP are reviewed periodically and periodic review report submitted to QA Dept. on time.
  6. Ensure that whenever required SOPs must be amendment and for new equipment, SOP must be prepare before start the Equipment/Instrument.
  7. Ensure that Equipment List and P.M. Plan are prepared and whenever as required and simultaneously provide the change for Equipment List and P.M. Plan to concerned Engineering staff.
  8. Arranging the PR for New Equipment with IO No and checking of regular PR with sign and follow-up.
  9. Supervisor has planned vacation should inform his direct manager earlier, based on manager instruction assign the job accordingly.
  10. Before starting any Engineering task technician must ensure that GMP related procedure are followed that can have impact on product quality.
