A leading energy solutions provider in Jeddah is seeking a Technician responsible for site installation and commissioning of GIS and AIS switchgear. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Electrical Engineering, 2-3 years of on-site experience, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical substations. Candidates fluent in English and Arabic will be preferred, in line with Saudization requirements. This role offers relocation assistance.

Overview

The Technician will be responsible for site installation and commissioning of GIS and AIS switchgear. During the service, assignments, projects, and tasks related to the role will help the individual develop leadership capabilities, communication skills, and acclimate to the work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Hands-on E&C experience of 230 & 380 kV substations. Knowledge of electrical switchgear equipment.
• Knowledge of GIS & AIS switchgear, electrical panels, MCC, and electrical distribution systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical substations.
• Understand and execute repairing and preventive maintenance.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and diagnose equipment issues.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of substations.
• Maintain back-office reporting, test reports, and customer documentation at site.
• Consult and coordinate with OEM for unresolved repair problems.
• Provide technical assistance for installation or project pre-arrangements.
• Operate as part of a team or as site lead to allocate responsibilities to the site team.
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate understanding of safety at site and perform LOTO operations.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years on-site experience in electrical fields.
• Experience E&C of 230 & 380 kV substations.
• Knowledge of electrical switchgear systems and electrical panels, MCC, and distribution systems.
• Willingness to relocate within Saudi Arabia as required by business needs.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Good user of Microsoft Office and email usage.
• Legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction (KSA national preferred).
