Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Technical Support and Audio/Video Technician to join our dynamic team. This role combines IT technical support responsibilities with hands‑on audio/video (A/V) expertise. The ideal candidate will not only troubleshoot and resolve IT‑related issues but also set up, maintain, and support our A/V systems and equipment, ensuring seamless operations for our team and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first‑line IT support to internal staff, addressing hardware, software, and network‑related queries and issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices.
A/V System Management
- Install, configure, and maintain A/V equipment, including microphones, speakers, projectors, cameras, and mixing consoles.
- Coordinate and assist with the setup and breakdown of A/V equipment for events, meetings, and presentations.
Troubleshooting & Resolution
- Quickly diagnose and resolve technical and A/V‑related issues, minimizing downtime.
- Work closely with external vendors and service providers for specialized equipment repairs or solutions.
Training & Documentation
- Train staff on the proper usage of A/V equipment and IT tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and inventory logs.
System Enhancements & Upgrades
- Recommend and implement enhancements or upgrades to existing IT and A/V systems for improved performance and functionality.
- Stay updated with the latest A/V technologies and industry best practices to ensure the company's systems are current and competitive.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all A/V installations and setups adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate regular maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Multimedia, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6+ years of combined experience in IT technical support and A/V equipment handling.
- Strong understanding of both Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Proficiency with various A/V equipment and technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot both IT and A/V‑related issues effectively.
- Good organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
