Job description

JASARA PMC is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Specialist – Interior Design (FOH) and Signage. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative front-of-house (FOH) interior spaces as well as developing effective signage solutions that enhance user experience and align with the brand's identity. Your expertise will be crucial in creating welcoming and functional environments that convey the desired ambiance while ensuring ease of navigation for visitors.

This role requires an in-depth knowledge of interior design for themed environments and wayfinding system implementation, including integration with digital technologies.This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, and implementation of interior design and wayfinding systems for front of house theme park areas, ensuring seamless navigation and immersive guest experiences.

As a client-side technical specialist, you will manage design packages, collaborating with consultants and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champions "Safety First" value, specifically confident in enacting ‘Stop Work’ authority, engage in relevant health/safety/wellbeing standards and behaviors.
  • Manage and oversee the interior design concepts for all front of house areas including themed areas, facilities, retail spaces, dining venues, and guest service areas, ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision.
  • Manage the design of wayfinding systems, including signage, graphics, and digital solutions, to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Review and approve design packages, technical drawings, and materials submitted by consultants and contractors.
  • Act as the client-side point of contact for interior design and wayfinding for Lead Design consultant, creative designer and contractors
  • Ensure design packages align with project schedules, budgets, quality and local standards.
  • Collaborate with Lead Design consultant, creative designer, landscape designers, ride engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of interior and wayfinding elements within the overall theme park design.
  • Ensure wayfinding systems align with operational requirements, guest flow, and accessibility standards.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies where applicable.
  • Identify potential design and installation issues and work proactively with contractors to resolve them.
  • Perform quality checks on materials, finishes, and installations to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Reporting to the design manager and project leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Good knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, and accessibility requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in interior design and wayfinding for large-scale projects, ideally in theme parks, entertainment venues, or mixed-use developments.
  • Proven track record in managing design and contractor teams on multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expertise in materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques for high-traffic environments.
  • Familiarity with international standards for accessibility, signage, and guest experience optimisation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
