About the job
Provides guidance to the control tower administrator for distributing work among team members based on skill and experience.
- Monitors technicians performance and approves completed repair orders after inspection.
- Diagnoses complex malfunctions and guides technicians to minimize potential errors and delays.
- Assumes responsibility for rectifications due to inadequate supervision or misdiagnosis.
- Uses electronic service manuals, reads technical and recall campaign bulletins and conveys same to staff, to overcome any difficulty in effecting repairs.
- Educates and instructs staff on proper use of special tools and equipment for efficient and high-quality repairs.
- Maintains team discipline and ensures a clean and organized workshop, protecting both customer vehicles and company assets.
- Responsible to control team's productivity, utilization & efficiency, to achieve company's target, by actively seeking sufficient work from the control tower.
- Authorizes all spare parts requisition, subject for the manager's approval, on warranty, extended warranty and internal repairs only, limiting the waste as much as possible, without affecting the quality.
- Recommends for manager's approval, performing of certain repairs, other than those indicated on repair orders, for warranty, extended warranty and internal accounts, and the service consultant for customer pay.
- Submits regular reports to superiors regarding staff performance, promotions, dismissals, and other improvements.
- Efficiently manages the Express Service program, ensuring commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Manages special tools through inventory, receiving, and delivery, using a daily logbook for control.
- Responsible for allocating and acknowledging all warranty parts returned by the technicians and, attaching the completed tag as necessary, as per factory warranty policies and procedures.
- Performs parts scraping and discarding under warranty management supervision, maintaining a tidy warranty storage area.
- Responsible for the efficient implementation of VentaVid. Assures to record a video for each and every service visit as it as a trust-building tool beside being an upselling/cross-selling tool.
- Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
- Carries out assigned work within regular hours, if physically and mentally capable.
