Job Overview

A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled T&I Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a leading talent acquisition consultancy, we specialize in connecting exceptional professionals with opportunities in various industries, including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Energy, Water, and more. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and integrity of mechanical systems within the T&I (Transportation and Installation) operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of rotating and static mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, and pipelines.
  • Develop, implement, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for rotating and static equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, motors) and static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves).
  • Ensure proper mechanical integrity of equipment in line with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Lead and manage mechanical aspects of plant turnarounds and shutdowns, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and oversee the mechanical inspection, repair, and replacement of equipment during planned turnarounds.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, safety, and quality control) to ensure smooth execution of turnaround activities.
  • Prepare scope of work, material requisitions, and resources for turnaround activities.
  • Ensure all turnaround work is completed according to scheduled timelines and with minimal impact on production.
  • Perform inspections of mechanical equipment as per the inspection schedule using vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, and thermography.
  • Implement condition monitoring techniques and make recommendations for equipment improvements or replacements.
  • Review inspection reports and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Manage mechanical asset life cycle and support the development of long-term strategies for equipment reliability.
  • Utilize SAP (or equivalent ERP system) for planning, scheduling, and tracking all mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Create and manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory in SAP.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the oil and gas industry (both rotating and static equipment).
  • Experience working with turnarounds, shutdowns, and inspections in an industrial setting.
  • Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and pipelines.
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) for maintenance management, work orders, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Willingness to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
