Job description
Basic Function

The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the end-to-end supply chain strategy of Jadeer Logistics. This includes procurement, vendor management, material planning, inventory control, and warehousing operations. The role ensures that all goods, materials, and services are sourced, stocked, and delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company objectives.

The incumbent ensures effective coordination between suppliers, business operations, and end-users to guarantee the timely availability of high-quality materials while maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing cost and waste.

Duties And Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Design, implement, and optimize supply chain systems that align with Jadeer’s strategic goals and adapt to evolving market conditions, business expansion, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Develop company-wide procurement and inventory strategies to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Coordinate supply chain management with other business functions including Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT.
  • Establish and continuously improve policies and procedures for sourcing, warehousing, and logistics operations.
  • Develop best practices for supplier evaluation, performance measurement, and risk management.
  • Formulate a comprehensive supply chain roadmap to achieve company performance targets and customer satisfaction.

Procurement and Operations

  • Oversee all procurement activities to ensure timely, transparent, and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance, evaluate quality and delivery standards, and initiate corrective actions when required.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.
  • Develop and maintain material cost forecasts and standard pricing models.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory turnover, minimize stock variances, and reduce waste.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and collaborate with internal departments to plan procurement schedules that ensure material availability for projects and operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and develop partnerships to support Jadeer’s long-term growth.

Performance and Cost Optimization

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain efficiency, cost control, and supplier performance.
  • Lead cost-reduction programs while maintaining service quality and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to establish accurate payment cycles and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Participate in high-value contract negotiations and business development activities to promote Jadeer’s brand and market position.
  • Ensure strong internal controls over inventory management through audits, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
  • Regularly review warehouse stock movement reports and ensure alignment with operational requirements.

People Management

  • Lead and mentor the procurement and inventory teams to achieve departmental goals.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training to maintain professional and technical standards.
  • Conduct quarterly performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team effectiveness and accountability.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the supply chain team.

Others

  • Prepare and present periodic reports on procurement, supplier performance, and inventory status to senior management.
  • Attend management meetings to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Ensure transparent communication and alignment between departments involved in the supply chain process.
Education And Qualification
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent in the procurement, Warehousing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Certificate of qualification in the procurement and process optimization (ex. 6‑Sigma)
  • Certificate of cargo and freight management of international shipping
Professional Experience
  • 5-7 years progressive experience in a combination of planning, logistics, production scheduling and/or inventory control
  • 2-3 years of direct management experience in a technical or analytical environment
  • Fluent English and Arabic Languages
