Job description

You as an Assembly Supervisor will be part of Hitachi Energy High Voltage Business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be assembling GIS components and modules into complete bays and performing routine tests through a lean and flow production line with outstanding performance that is targeting the best quality, maximum cost saving, and shortest delivery time. Contributing actively to improving the manufacturing process.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly, repair, and routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays (including components & modules) according to work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  • Fulfill work packages related to orders according to production data and instructions from assigned foremen.
  • Target the best performance in quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Self-check work packages’ results, fill out, and confirm checklists and protocols.
  • Support gathering product improvement feedback from GIS LSC engineers.
  • Properly handle factory equipment and tools, maintain equipment, and ensure continuous calibration.
  • Perform quality control, escalate quality issues immediately, record deviations, support root cause analysis, and document non-conformance reports.
  • Support teamwork, communicate effectively, and collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and colleagues (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.).
  • Follow factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to ABB-HSE guidelines and report irregularities.
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement processes and lean culture.
  • Provide feedback, share ideas and observations whenever possible.
  • Perform any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.

Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a production facility (assembly & testing).
  • Understanding of lean concepts & minimizing all related 7 wastes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material lists precisely.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
