Job description

Advanced smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee.

An exciting opportunity is available for Superintendent, MTP & Refractory Based in Jizan and will report directly to Manager, Production Hot.

About the role

Supervises the ongoing performance of all assets (plant and people) in their area of designation to ensure safety, quality and operations meet predefined, ongoing and developing business needs and maintain the uninterrupted supply of the specified product. They work closely with the shift supervisor to monitor day to day activities and troubleshooting for plant related issues and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and service providers.

You will be responsible to
  • Identify competency levels of subordinates regarding safety and operational training requirements for the entire production area and manage accordingly.
  • Continuous liaison with training coordinator and safety facilitator
  • Manage on the job safety and training requirements for the entire production area
  • Audit safety systems and field communications systems of all production shifts weekly and monthly
  • Manage small projects as delegated from the Manager
  • Maintain and improve safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, 14000, 18001)
  • Manage production targets for area and shift
  • Attend to process failures and ensure speedy recovery of processes
  • Improve and maintain cross functional customer relationships
  • Assist with and coordinate trouble shooting to identify root cause for substandard operating conditions.
  • Reconcile weekly and monthly raw material and product stocks
  • Ensure integrity of product stock grading and put systems in place to avoid contamination.
  • Continuous liaison between SHE, Training and Stores departments
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Overseeing the compilation of standards and procedures and enforcing these standards in the workplace.
  • Actively manage continuous improvement within his department through the MOC system
  • Take charge of his manager’s responsibilities in his absence.
Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s / Diploma degree in Engineering or related field.
