Job description

The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; and reach with hand and arms for various tasks related to Metal (Steel, Stainless) Fabrication and Machine Operation. Responsibilities include reading drawings and schematics, fabricating and assembling structural metal products such as metal doors, handrails, steel grating, steel structures, and more.

Additional duties involve positioning parts and subassemblies, hammering, grinding, and chipping workpieces, and placing raw materials. The role includes building prototypes and testing samples professionally, examining products visually or physically to determine work required, and deciding on finish operations based on production orders.

Setup and operate various machines (e.g., notches, shear, turret punch, press brake), including some computer-controlled machines. Use basic layout techniques and precision measuring instruments like calipers and squares. Safely operate tools including air-driven, power, manual, and other tools such as drills and riveting guns.

Follow written instructions and blueprints, record work, perform basic math calculations, and ensure quality and timely completion of tasks. Inspect own work, learn new tasks quickly, and perform repetitive tasks accurately and consistently.

Work effectively as part of a team, with minimal supervision, assist others as needed, suggest process and product improvements, and communicate effectively with team members. Follow company guidelines and be willing to work in any manufacturing department with flexibility.
