MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To design, maintain, and optimize mechanical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency in gasification and power production processes.
JOB OBJECTIVES
- Efficiency and optimization: To ensure the reliability and optimal performance of mechanical systems supporting gasification and power production.
- Equipment reliability and performance: To implement maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting: To troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- System efficiency and optimization: To monitor system performance and implement optimization initiatives to enhance productivity and energy efficiency.
- Safety and regulatory compliance: To ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Project planning and execution: To design, evaluate, and implement mechanical system modifications and upgrades.
- Collaboration and teamwork: To collaborate with cross-functional teams to align mechanical engineering activities with organizational goals.
- Continuous improvement: To participate in continuous improvement initiatives by integrating advanced technologies and innovative practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Essential
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certifications are advantageous - Preferred
JOB RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
- Work experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in energy, power generation, or industrial manufacturing - 5+Yrs
- Experience with mechanical systems such as turbines, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers - Preferred

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics - Advanced
