About the Role

Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon X Elite are revolutionizing the PC industry by leading the technology transformation for AI, graphics, multimedia, connectivity, power, and performance. We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Staff Engineer with a strong background in Compute technologies to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor and customer advocate, helping partners and clients unlock the full potential of advanced computing platforms, including CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, AI accelerators, and heterogeneous systems.

Responsibilities
  • You will have a pre-and post-sales focus and will work with channel partners and their respective technical sales/delivery teams to drive adoption of the Windows on Snapdragon Compute platform across the B2B market.
  • You will partner with OEM and Channel sales teams as well as Microsoft Modern Work Specialists, on strategic and regionally appropriate engagements.
  • You will help connect IT to ISVs and developers to overcome line-of-business obstacles.
  • You will be the voice of the customer back to Qualcomm product, engineering and marketing teams on feature enhancements.
  • Assisting with the Execution of Qualcomm’s Go-To-Market strategy across MEA region.
  • Supporting the Sales team through deep technical engagement with reseller & customer implementers and assisting with device evaluations, pilots and proof-of-concepts
  • Assisting with the technical sales enablement commercial channel sales teams.
  • Assisting with Windows on Snapdragon related issues and bugs that you and/or your enterprise customers identify
  • Act as a technical interface between Qualcomm and customers to capture, articulate, and translate product requirements for various mobile and compute SKUs into actionable engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with OEMs/ODMs, ISVs, and ecosystem partners to ensure successful integration of Snapdragon compute platforms across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
  • Drive end-to-end product development, from early architecture definition and bring-up to final system validation and commercial launch.
  • Analyse system performance and power efficiency; identify optimization opportunities to achieve the full potential of Snapdragon-powered laptops including compatibility, app performance, connectivity, and feature enablement.
  • Support customers in resolving complex hardware/software integration issues and provide technical guidance on reference designs, SDKs, and BSPs.
  • Guide customers through the evaluation and integration of platforms such as SoCs, AI/ML accelerators, and server-grade CPUs/GPUs/NPUs.
  • Represent Qualcomm in technical discussions and reviews with partners, demonstrating deep technical understanding and effective communication.
  • Lead product demos, technical workshops, and training sessions to showcase compute technologies and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Qualcomm global teams (engineering, product management, and customer engineering) to align roadmap priorities and technical support plans.
  • Collect and share customer feedback to help shape product roadmaps and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, application notes, and reference designs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in high-performance computing, AI/ML, and edge/cloud architectures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or 5+ years of Computer Science or related work experience.
  • Experience with working and debugging issues in Window 11 environment and tools preferred.
  • Software design/debugging techniques, problem solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with UEFI architecture and development (PEI, DXE, UEFI).
  • Debugging with tools such as WinDbg, JTAG, Trace32,or GDB.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS such as Windows drivers development or Windows debugging, or familiarity with Windows command lines tools such as PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming. Experience on embedded HLOS & networking a plus.
  • Application development, debugging, testing with C/C++ & familiarity with embedded system software.
  • 2+ years of experience in mobile, compute, or embedded system development, ideally with ARM-based SoCs.
  • Hands‑on experience with Windows on ARM and/or Linux (Ubuntu, Yocto, etc.) OS bring‑up and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms and compute architectures including CPU, GPU, NPU and supporting software stacks (drivers, libraries, frameworks).
  • Proven ability to work directly with OEMs/ODMs and ISVs to deliver complex, multi‑component systems.
  • Excellent skills in system debugging, performance profiling tools, benchmarking methodologies and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer‑first mindset; able to translate complex technical details into business‑oriented discussions and customer‑facing insights.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.

  • Technical sales management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers.
  • Experience building complex solutions and driving new device adoption with resellers & distributors.
  • Experience in support of launching new technologies/products.
  • Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally & externally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills Experience in laptop design enablement (display, audio, camera, sensors, power management).
  • Familiarity with app compatibility and optimization for ARM-based compute systems.
  • Prior experience in a customer engineering, field application, or technical program management role.
  • Understanding of cloud‑to‑edge AI enablement, on‑device inference, or performance tuning on Snapdragon platforms.
  • Experience with system integration tools, BSP customization, and cross‑platform testing.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
