You will
- Lead program management of battery manufacturing lines, including equipment build, testing, and shipment
- Act as primary PMO point of contact for the battery shop
- Implement and track changes from the New Product Introduction (NPI) team
- Develop and execute FAT/SAT requirements for equipment buyoffs with integrators
- Lead and coordinate the supplier on site, and manage the timeline of all phases of the program including installation, commissioning and quality loops
- Develop and maintain Microsoft Project/Smartsheet schedules
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
- Report progress and escalate bottlenecks to leadership
- Enforce business and technical criteria during equipment validation
- Understand product design changes and their impact on manufacturing equipment
- Lead equipment development from design to buyoff
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Product Engineering, Facilities, and Quality teams
- Align with internal stakeholders on launch readiness and operational goals
You bring
- Experience with equipment including robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyors and laser cleaning/ metrology
- Experience with Battery Pack production lines, GD&T, leak testing, adhesive dispense, dielectrics, hipot testing, end-of-line testing (HV/LV), AGVs, ASRS equipment, vision with automated fiducial offsets
- Experience with Battery Module production lines, GD&T, laser welding, wire bonding, barcode reading, vision system inspection, potting, HV testing, ASRS equipment, end-of-line testing, adhesive applications, box cutting automation
- Strong understanding of machine tool building mechanical, electrical, and controls to build automation equipment from design to buyoff
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience
- 8+ years of experience in powertrain or battery manufacturing program management
- Proven leadership in high-volume automotive manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and DFM principles
- Experience with high-voltage systems and safety standards
- Extensive launch and commissioning experience
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally at various levels inside and outside the company
- Working knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of CATIA and DELMIA is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Knowledge and experience across multiple functions within product design and manufacturing
