Job summary

A leading development company in Saudi Arabia seeks a Sr AV/FLS Engineer to oversee the maintenance of Fire Alarm and ELV systems at the Amaala Yacht Club. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience, hold a degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, and be proficient in English. This role involves managing minor projects and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Purpose
  • The Sr AV/FLS Engineer carries out routine inspections of the Fire Alarm/Fire Fighting, BMS, CCTV, and other ELV systems in the building and ensures a high level of system availability.
  • Ensures the buildings are compliant to code for Life Safety. Manages minor new works as in-house projects
Job Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Standards and Regulations
  • High level of knowledge of industry standards, international guidelines (like NFPA, ISO, BS) and local government guidelines and best practices. Should have high level of knowledge of Civil Defense and Ministry of Interior regulations in relation with Fire Alarms, Fire Fighting, CCTV systems
  • Experience in Fire Alarm, CCTV system, Security Systems, Lighting Control Systems, Turnstiles / E-gates, BMS, suppression systems, Structured cabling, Access Control, ICT etc. Well versed in installation / integration / maintenance / Testing and Commissioning.
  • Technical Coordination
  • Ensures all AMC Contractors and Amrak have a valid PTW and work safely in our buildings
  • All PPM and CM tasks shall be recorded in CAFM and actioned in a timely manner
  • Government Agency Inspections
  • Prepares for MOI and CD inspections, ensures that system health, documentation and other prerequisites are proper and in place, compiles the necessary documentation and liaises with Government Relations team to upload to government portal for necessary invitations, and attends inspections alongside all necessary AMC specialists
  • Minor new works
  • Prepares documentation for executing minor new works (MNW) / additions & alterations (A&A) as in-house projects
  • Initiates materials procurement and carries out the MNW / A&A in timely manner
Job Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Selection of material, engineering calculations. Able to program and configure complex ELV systems ensuring smooth front of house operations and high level of guest experience.
  • Industry Experience:
  • 15 or more years’ experience in maintenance of high-quality buildings such as hospitals, hotels/hospitality buildings, corporate headquarters. Construction or project delivery experience is not acceptable.
  • Management Skills:
  • Lead a team of workers from different trade disciplines and nationalities.
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Polite and courteous
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; effectively manage time and meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Coping with pressure and setbacks
  • Certifications:
  • CCNA
  • ITIL
  • Advanced Dante networking level 1, 2 and 3
  • Brand specific certifications for Video analytics, Storage configurations, Access control configuration, Routing and switching
  • Certified by Civil Defence of any GCC country
  • Expertise in DMX and other Lighting Systems configuration and programming
  • Language Skills: English proficiency
  • Communication Skills: Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
