We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in KSA-Abha. As an Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in patients within the rehabilitation and long-term care settings. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at maximizing patient independence and quality of life. SLP provides education to patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies and ensures compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or related field.
- Additional certifications in swallowing therapy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), or specialized rehabilitation techniques are an asset.
- Valid SCFHS license as Specialist
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation, and/or long-term care settings.
- Experience working with adult populations, especially those with neurological, cognitive, or degenerative conditions.
- Prior experience with multidisciplinary teams and documentation procedures
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s’ functional status.
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ communication and swallowing functions.
- Design individualized therapy programs based on assessment findings.
- Deliver direct therapy sessions to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and assistive devices.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and manage swallowing difficulties.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and emerging trends in speech-language pathology.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff regarding communication and swallowing management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to speech and swallowing services.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare team and the organization.
- Manage caseload efficiently to meet clinical and organizational targets.
- Engage in professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
