Key Responsibilities
Operational and HSE Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Ma’aden HSE Management System and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and verifications for risk control and incident prevention.
- Monitor HSE performance, including leading and lagging indicators.
- Support and follow up on corrective actions from incidents and audits.
Governance and Risk Management
- Assist in implementing HSE programs, procedures, and safety culture initiatives.
- Participate in contractor HSE evaluations and project safety reviews.
- Contribute to process safety management and integration of safety in business functions.
Incident Management
- Support Class 1 and 2 incident investigations and reporting.
- Escalate Life-Saving Rule (LSR) violations and non-conformances as required.
- Act as custodian of Ma’aden’s HSE reporting and learning system.
Training and Leadership
- Deliver HSE education and awareness programs.
- Support leadership in embedding safety culture and standards across operations.
- Provide safety training and mentorship to peers and operational staff.
Project & Compliance Support
- Review HSE plans for new and ongoing projects, including overseas initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities such as RC and HCIS.
- Integrate safety requirements into project stage-gate processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: High school certificate with Mathematics and Science.
- Preferred: National Diploma or formal qualification in Mining, Production, or Process Technology.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in a relevant HSE or mining/industrial safety role.
- Language: Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Ma’aden HSE standards, codes, and safety transformation programs.
- Proficient in risk assessment, HAZOP, and hazard identification.
- Ability to manage and analyze HSE data and performance indicators.
- Familiarity with auditing, governance frameworks, and contractor HSE systems.
- Strong written reporting, communication, and digital system skills.
- Certified in First Aid is an advantage.
