Job summary

A healthcare facility in Jeddah is seeking an experienced technician for polysomnographic procedures. The role requires proficiency in EEG/NCV/EP techniques and a minimum of 6 months experience. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting with clinical scoring, and educating patients. The candidate should have completed relevant training and hold appropriate licensure as per regional regulations. Language skills in English/Arabic are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Performs Polysomnographic procedures (PSG) adult and pediatric.
  2. Performs positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting and titration.
  3. Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and makes adjustment if necessary.
  4. Demonstrates healthcare partner of physician to the patient in rendering pre and posts informative and educative data for PSG and PAP procedure.
  5. Applies electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
  6. Performs appropriate physiology calibration to ensure proper signal and make adjustment if necessary.
  7. Gathers and analyzes patients’ information.
  8. Performs polysomnographic record scoring.
  9. Assists with scoring sleep stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
  10. Assists with scoring clinical events (such as respiratory events cardiac events, limb movements, arousal etc) with center specific protocols.
  11. Assists with the generation of accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical events data.
  12. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if applicable.

Skills and Abilities

Computer knowledge of Microsoft word in mandatory typing skills of 20 words per minutes or higher.

Experience

A minimum of 6 months of experiences as or EEG/NCV/EP technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies.

Education

Successful Completion of neuro physiology procedures training in the hospital or pre-employment training session from accredited facility.

Language: English / Arabic preferable

Licenses / Certifications

License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
