About the location
Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.
About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of the hotel’s systems and equipment during your shift. Your role will ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted functioning of all hotel facilities, providing a seamless experience for guests and supporting hotel operations.
What You Will Do
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of all hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, during your shift.
- Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities, identifying any maintenance issues or safety concerns and resolving them promptly.
- Respond to engineering emergencies, such as equipment breakdowns or system failures, ensuring quick resolution to minimize guest impact.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and ensure that maintenance schedules are followed to reduce downtime and improve system longevity.
- Assist with the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, including elevators, air conditioning, lighting, and water treatment systems.
- Ensure that all safety standards and regulations are followed, including conducting safety checks and ensuring compliance with local laws and hotel policies.
- Manage the operation of all equipment and machinery within the hotel, ensuring they are running at optimal efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and equipment service logs.
- Monitor energy usage, identifying opportunities for energy savings and ensuring that energy consumption is optimized.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and respond to guest service requests related to engineering issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the engineering work area, maintaining equipment and tools in good working order.
What You Bring
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in engineering or maintenance, preferably in a hotel or large-scale hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and kitchen & laundry equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address guest or operational concerns in a professional manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities during a shift.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with engineering management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in English.

Schedule & Hours
