Job description

Deploy, install, and maintain fixed and portable H₂S gas detection and respiratory protection systems on site.

Conduct regular calibration and functional testing of gas monitors, alarms, breathing air systems, and cascade units.

Ensure proper setup and readiness of life support equipment, including SCBAs (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) and EEBDs (Emergency Escape Breathing Devices).

Monitor gas detection systems continuously and respond to any H₂S alarms or emergencies.

Conduct H₂S awareness and emergency response training or drills for site personnel.

Maintain accurate logs, service reports, and calibration certificates.

Ensure compliance with client, company, and regulatory HSE standards and procedures.

Support emergency response actions during H₂S releases or drills.

Provide daily technical support and reporting to site supervisors and HSE teams.

Safely handle and transport gas detection and breathing air equipment.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of gas detection systems, SCBAs, and respiratory protection equipment.
  • Familiarity with international H₂S safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, API RP 55).
  • Certification in H2S safety and Breathing Apparatus use (preferred).
  • Valid offshore survival and medical certificates (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) for offshore roles.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to follow technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Good communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Familiarity with service tools, multimeters, calibration devices.
  • High level of safety awareness & technical troubleshooting skills
  • English language proficiency; Arabic is a plus.
  • Valid driving license and readiness to travel frequently.
