Job summary

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our Project Management Consultancy team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee complex structural engineering projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of large-scale construction projects
  • Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers, providing technical guidance and support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors
  • Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Reviewing design deliverables and technical studies, i.e., BCA reports, dewatering reports, Geotechnical studies, etc.
  • Experience in conducting Value engineering
  • Experience in integration of design components.
  • Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and oversee construction progress
  • Implement innovative and cost-effective structural solutions
  • Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices
What do we need from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects
  • Proven track record in project management and team leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
  • In-depth understanding of international building codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local construction practices
  • Expertise in various construction materials and methods
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and their application in structural engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required
