Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer to join a growing design practice within a well-established agency. You’ll be leading projects and managing a small team of mid-weight designers, with plenty of opportunity to shape the work and influence how service design is delivered.

The client

This consultancy uses service design to drive meaningful, human-centred change within organisations. They work with clients across sectors including healthcare, government, finance, retail and manufacturing to help them become more customer-centric. Their services span strategic visioning, transformation delivery, journey management and service culture change. Over the years they’ve redesigned public services, improved care pathways, driven retail innovation and enhanced business operations. With over 20 years’ experience and studios in Europe and South America, they partner with organisations globally to help shift how change happens.

The role
  • Leading and owning projects across different sectors including public services, healthcare, financial services and retail
  • Managing a team of mid-weight designers, supporting their growth and development
  • Bringing structure and clarity to projects that are not always clearly defined upfront
  • Delivering core service design activities such as service blueprints, journey mapping, research and identifying opportunities to improve end-to-end services
  • Handling some light admin including timesheets and budgets to keep projects on track
The candidate
  • At least 5 years of dedicated service design experience
  • A portfolio that clearly shows your approach, service design thinking and examples of service blueprints
  • Someone confident in managing others, who enjoys both the craft and the leadership side of design
  • Business-savvy mindset, able to see the bigger picture and shape outcomes for clients
What’s on offer
  • Career development and progression as the practice grows, with structured training and support
  • A genuinely collaborative and supportive culture, with leaders who are hands‑on mentors
  • Exposure to a wide range of project types, from redesigning public services to building new operating models for major financial institutions
  • Future opportunities to collaborate with global teams
