Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of technical proposals and commercial offers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
- Analyze tender documents and clients’ specifications to identify scope, risks, clarifications, and compliance requirements.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions by providing technical and cost insights to Sales and Plant leadership.
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and labor hour estimates for junction boxes, VSDs, control panels, and switchboards...etc.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to adapt and validate designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Provide pre-sales technical presentations, demonstrations, and clarifications to EPC clients and consultants.
- Validate costing models by incorporating raw materials, labor, logistics, packaging, certification, and testing requirements.
- Benchmark APC’s solutions against competitors’ offerings to highlight differentiators and optimize pricing strategy.
- Prepare compliance matrices aligning clients’ requirements with APC capabilities and clearly highlight deviations.
- Serve as the focal point between Sales, Plant Manufacturing, and Engineering to resolve technical-commercial gaps.
- Provide rapid responses during tendering and negotiation phases to build clients’ confidence.
- Ensure customer documentation packages (datasheets, drawings, certifications, FAT/SAT reports) are accurate and on time.
- Maintain updated knowledge of international standards (IEC, ATEX, UL, NEMA, API, ISO) relevant to clients’ projects.
- Capture recurring clients’ needs, field lessons, and certification feedback, and feed into continuous improvement and product development.
- Act as project manager for assigned orders from award to client delivery, ensuring schedule, cost, and quality adherence.
- Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans covering fabrication, wiring, assembly, testing, certification, packaging, and shipping.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, QA/QC, supply chain, logistics) to deliver project milestones on time.
- Monitor project progress through regular reviews, tracking deviations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Serve as single point of accountability for clients and internal stakeholders regarding order execution status.
- Ensure client inspections, FAT/SAT activities, and certification audits are scheduled, coordinated, and successfully closed.
- Manage project documentation from design to final delivery, ensuring completeness and compliance with Clients’ and APC requirements.
- Support risk identification and mitigation throughout project lifecycle, escalating issues to Plant Manufacturing Manager when needed.
- Capture lessons learned from each project and feed back into process, quality, and costing improvements.
- Support negotiation of technical/commercial terms with EPCs and contractors.
- Assist sales teams with technical bid evaluations and proposal development.
- Analyse client requirements and propose suitable product configurations and solutions.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities including client presentations and site visits.
- Review contracts for compliance with APC’s policies and industry norms, highlighting technical or delivery risks.
- Liaise with key clients to ensure satisfaction and technical alignment.
- Liaise with supply chain and production to ensure feasibility of commitments (delivery schedules, packaging, documentation).
- Manage on-site installation and commissioning of Electro-Mechanical equipment (junction boxes, VSDs, control panels, and switchboards…).
- Provide technical support during integration with existing systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and networks.
- Conduct field testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of instruments and control circuits.
- Configure and validate devices such as transmitters, relays, and controllers for compliance with client specs.
- Document commissioning activities, prepare test reports, and ensure smooth client handover.
- Capture lessons learned from field execution and feed back into design, manufacturing, and quality processes.
- Provide technical assistance for preventive and corrective maintenance after project handover.
- Develop and deliver maintenance manuals, operating procedures, and as-built documentation.
- Train client personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
- Support warranty claims, service interventions, and spare-parts recommendations.
- Monitor equipment performance in the field and propose design or process improvements for future projects.
- Ensure all maintenance records and service reports are properly documented and shared with clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8–12 years of experience in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering within manufacturing, EPC projects, or industrial plant environments, with proven exposure to project execution and client-facing responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Professional certification in Project Management, Quality, or Commercial Engineering (preferred).
- Proven track record in direct sales technical support for EPC and end user clients.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, wiring, and packaging processes.
- Costing and estimation expertise with solid understanding of manufacturing drivers.
- Experience with quality systems, certifications (IEC, API, ISO), and client audits.
- Exposure to contract terms, conditions, and technical annexes in EPC environment.
- Hands-on field/commissioning experience with Control Panels, VSDs, Junction Boxes and switchboards.
