Context

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to provide essential technical and project management support within our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for Transportation and Infrastructure Planning. The successful candidate will have strong technical proficiency, experience in technology transfer, and proven stakeholder engagement skills on large-scale projects, ideally within the GCC region – Saudi Arabia experience highly desirable. The role is based in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the planning, design, and execution of transportation and infrastructure projects, in line with industry standards and client requirements.
• Support PMC processes, including scheduling, monitoring, budgeting, procurement, risk identification, and quality assurance.
• Coordinate communications with clients, government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers; contribute to training programs and help build technical capacity within the department.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, regional, and international codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare technical documents, progress reports, and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in transportation and infrastructure planning, with at least 3 years in a PMC or similar senior engineering role.
• Experience with large infrastructure projects in the GCC; preference given to candidates with Saudi Arabia experience.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
