Job summary

A leading hospital in Qassim, Saudi Arabia is seeking a Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Consultant to lead the pediatric intensive care unit and deliver expert care for critically ill children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, with board certification and a minimum of 3-4 years' experience. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care to patients. Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic may be beneficial.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years post Board/Fellowship in PICU.
  • Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
  • Positive professional references attesting to skills and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the pediatric intensive care unit as a consultant.
  • Provide high-quality PICU care to patients.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows.
  • Participate in administrative functions and committees.

Skills

Proficiency in English
Additional proficiency in Arabic

Education

Graduate from a medical school of good standing
Completion of required period of training in PICU
Saudi Arab or American/European Board Certification or equivalent
Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe
A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission
Dataflow certification
