Job De ion
Level 3 Senior Network & Wireless Ops Engineer is a technical expert responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing the organization’s enterprise wireless infrastructure (WLAN, controllers, BYOD). This role ensures high-performance, compliance (SAMA/NCA), and scalable wireless solutions integrated with the broader network architecture.
The engineer is also responsible for performance and optimization of the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure. The role requires extensive hands‑on experience in routing and switching technologies across LAN, SD‑WAN, Internet, DMZ, B2B, and ACI Data Center environments. This engineer is expected to handle complex incidents, lead root cause analysis, and guide architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Wireless Architecture: Lead Wi‑Fi 6/6E deployments, site surveys, and capacity planning. Design cloud‑managed WLAN (Cisco DNAC, Aruba Central) and hybrid architectures.
- Network Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and optimize routing, switching, and interconnectivity across LAN, WAN, DMZ, B2B, and cloud environments. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of network services supporting critical business applications.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve RF interference, roaming issues, CAPWAP failures using Wireshark/Ekahau and resolve complex technical issues spanning Layer 1‑4. Lead root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective action planning.
- Design & Implementation: Participate in network design reviews and implement enterprise‑grade network infrastructure (ACI, SD‑WAN, etc.). Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies to improve resilience and performance.
- Network Change Management: Execute and oversee network configuration changes, migrations, and upgrades in compliance with change control policies. Ensure minimal downtime and risk to production systems.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor network performance using tools like SNMP, NetFlow, and telemetry. Analyze trends and implement tuning strategies to enhance throughput and reduce latency.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures. Ensure network practices align with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on end‑to‑end service delivery. Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to Level 2 engineers and junior staff.
