Senior Medical Representative

Role summary

Achieves business results through the management of the defined sales territory, building strong business relationships with Healthcare Professionals on the company’s products as per AZ code of conduct. Is a growing expert at products and patient needs knowledge, works under supervision.

What you’ll do

Key / distinctive responsibilities:

  • Providing information to HCPs about AZ products, including promotion in accordance with AZ code of conduct
  • Acting as a champion for other functions
  • Providing support to the manager on competitive intelligence and data collection for team
  • Financial management
  • Improving own knowledge & skills
  • Achieving targets for Content driven engagement COE: daily interaction / call rate and coverage
  • Implementing team and cross-BU initiatives to improve overall performance / quality of work in Sales Force; participating driving implementation of corporate projects (SFE, country projects on KEE development, driving mentorship across SF, etc.); initiating working groups / facilitating the exchange of best practices; providing assistance for managing regional meetings / business case defense / training SF on assigned areas of own expertise

Along with:

  • Engage healthcare professionals, relevant to Therapy Area, in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
  • Effectively promote AZ products in accordance with AZ business strategy, ethical standards & approved TAP through: commercial visits, round tables, conferences, congresses and seminars with healthcare professionals
  • Qualitatively build customers’ database on the defined territory, building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers
  • Provide regular feedback on client contacts and commercial activities to FLSM and team members
  • Sustain and communicate excellent knowledge of Product, Disease and Competitors
  • Actively request help from respective colleagues to achieve set objectives
  • Monitor, suggest and implement appropriate actions to enhance performance
  • Conduct market researches on the defined territory to analyse healthcare institutions’ needs for AZ products, competitors and distributors’ activities
  • Work with FLSM to assess territory sales performance and market trends
  • Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed markets information relative to assigned sales territory
  • Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, etc
  • Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations
Administration
  • Ensure timely reporting of all activities in Veeva CRM.
  • Adhere to all reporting and administrative standards
Corporate responsibility
  • Maintains highest ethical standards and work in a spirit of AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by corporate policies
  • Ensures that all conducted activities are done in accordance with local legislation and corporate standards.
  • Timely reports (as per respective procedures): health/environment/wellbeing related accidents; adverse events that you became aware about; change in status of your Conflict of Interest

Essential for the role
  • Experience in the promotion of med. products from two years in multinational environment or equivalent
  • Performance development of Essential Contributor in the previous two years with a minimum achievement on 90% in the previous two years Knowing that the last year is 100% in case no two years
  • Product knowledge and medical knowledge of 90% Average across the past 4 Quarters- Last score 90% if less than 4 exams
  • KPIs : 90% for coverage and 90% for daily interaction for the last year
  • Experience of successfully built relationships with HCPs
  • Professional level at Knowledge of healthcare environment, customer, compliance, disease, science and therapy area
  • Professional level in selling skills, business acumen, planning the business and driving the business
  • Professional level at self motivation, development and awareness as well as individual and interpersonal effectiveness
