Job Purpose

To lead the strategic development and implementation of a national Athlete Lifestyle & Wellbeing framework across Team Saudi’s Olympic and emerging sports programs. This role will oversee a team of practitioners and collaborate with coaches, support staff, and external partners to ensure athletes receive holistic support that enhances their personal development, mental wellbeing, career readiness, and life beyond sport.

Job Purpose

To lead the strategic development and implementation of a national Athlete Lifestyle & Wellbeing framework across Team Saudi’s Olympic and emerging sports programs. This role will oversee a team of practitioners and collaborate with coaches, support staff, and external partners to ensure athletes receive holistic support that enhances their personal development, mental wellbeing, career readiness, and life beyond sport.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Framework Development

• Design and implement a national Athlete Lifestyle & Wellbeing strategy tailored to Saudi athletes across multiple sports.
• Develop a framework that integrates wellbeing, dual-career planning, transitions, and personal development into performance pathways.
• Align lifestyle support with Saudi Olympic Committee and sport-specific strategic goals.
  
  

Team & Practitioner Management

• Build, Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Athlete Lifestyle & Wellbeing Practitioners across various sports.
• Ensure consistent delivery standards, professional development, and performance evaluation of staff.
• Foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary working culture.
  
  

Athlete Support & Development

• Oversee the delivery of one-to-one and group-based support in areas such as education, career planning, athlete life, wellbeing, mental health, financial literacy, and personal growth.
• Ensure proactive support during key transitions (e.g., injury, retirement, relocation).
• Embed lifestyle and wellbeing objectives into individual athlete performance plans.
  
  

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strategic partnerships with educational institutions, employers, and wellbeing providers.
• Liaise with coaches, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure integrated support.
• Represent Team Saudi in national and international forums on athlete wellbeing.
  
  

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Develop and maintain systems to track athlete engagement, wellbeing metrics, and program impact.
• Produce regular reports and insights to inform leadership and guide continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and ethical standards
