Job Summary
The Senior Digital Architect will lead the innovation, design, and delivery of enterprise-level digital architecture solutions within the airline industry. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience through robust platforms, including Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Marketing Technology (MarTech).
As a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, the Senior Digital Architect will define architectural standards, ensure scalability and reliability, and drive continuous improvement across digital platforms. The position requires strong leadership, a forward-thinking approach, and the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives to deliver seamless and high-performing digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital architecture, ensuring alignment with the airline’s business objectives and customer needs.
- Architectural Design: Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions. This includes developing architecture for Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Marketing Technology (MarTech) platforms in line with industry best practices.
- Innovation: Identify and assess emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities within the airline industry. Drive innovation by evaluating feasibility and implementing solutions that enhance digital customer experiences.
- Execution: Lead the end-to-end delivery of architectural projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget. Manage the full lifecycle from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices for security, performance, and usability. Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of architects and technical professionals, providing guidance, resources, and support to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including business units, marketing, sales, operations, IT, vendors, partners, and regulators—to ensure solutions meet requirements and deliver value.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of digital solutions, leveraging data and feedback to identify enhancements and prioritize improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Industry Expertise: 5–8 years in Amadeus and/or airline systems, digital architecture, preferably within airline or travel industry, with a strong record of delivering innovative digital solutions.
- Leadership: Minimum 5 years managing architectural teams; excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical & Methodology: Deep knowledge of digital architecture frameworks, tools, and best practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, prototyping, user testing).
- Technical Oversight: Strong understanding of architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment processes.
