Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Senior Consultant for FortiGuard Incident Response to lead and manage incident engagements with a world-class team.

The role requires deep technical skills across malware analysis, forensics, and threat intelligence while mentoring other security consultants. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Operations and leverage FortiEDR tooling to deliver timely guidance to clients and create threat research outputs such as blogs and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ incident response/forensics experience required.
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IR Lead during engagements and mentoring/training junior analysis.
• Focus on process improvement for the customer-facing incident response services.
• Conduct host-based analysis and forensic functions on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X systems.
• Conduct network forensics and log analysis during IR engagements.
• Review firewall, web, database, and other log sources to identify evidence and artifacts of malicious activity.
• Leverage FortiEDR Platform to conduct investigations and rapid threat analysis.
• Develop complete and informative reports and presentations for executive and technical audiences.
• Availability during nights/weekends as needed for IR engagements.
