Skillsearch is working with a dynamic client in the gaming industry to recruit a talented individual to lead strategic growth initiatives within their mobile division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving user acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies, ensuring sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate will combine product strategy with growth efforts to attract and retain players through innovative, data-driven approaches.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy focused on user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Data, Creative, Programming, and UI/UX Designers) to execute cohesive growth plans.
  • Stay informed about market trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead a player-centric strategy to ensure sustainable active player growth and revenue, exploring both traditional and non-traditional audience expansion.
User Acquisition
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation, delivering impactful results.
  • Shape community engagement strategies, customer support structures, and develop ASO (App Store Optimisation) methods.
  • Oversee performance marketing campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok, and influencer marketing.
  • Design, execute, and analyse A/B tests to optimise user acquisition funnels.
  • Build relationships with third-party partners to drive new install initiatives and churn prevention campaigns.
  • Manage budgets to maximise ROI while scaling global user acquisition efforts.
Retention and Engagement
  • Develop lifecycle marketing strategies, including in-app messaging, push notifications, and email campaigns to enhance user retention and engagement.
  • Work with product and live-ops teams to design features and events that promote player loyalty.
  • Analyse user behaviour and segmentation to create personalised experiences.
Monetisation
  • Align growth efforts with in-app purchase (IAP) and ad monetisation strategies in collaboration with product and monetisation teams.
  • Optimise pricing strategies, promotions, and virtual economy design to drive revenue growth.
Data and Analytics
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure growth and report progress to leadership.
  • Use data analytics tools to uncover insights, measure campaign performance, and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Build predictive models and dashboards to forecast growth and revenue trends.
  • Collaborate with Analytics and User Research teams to conduct quantitative and qualitative research, identify product opportunities, and define feature priorities.
Qualifications and Key Skills
  • Proven success in driving healthy audience and daily active user (DAU) growth while achieving product KPIs.
  • 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, user acquisition, or related roles within gaming, mobile apps, or entertainment industries.
  • Experience working on large, high-performing, live-service titles with demonstrated results.
  • Familiarity with live-ops and seasonal event planning in games.
  • Deep understanding of mobile marketing ecosystems, app store optimisation (ASO), and user behaviour analytics.
  • Proficiency in ad platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads) and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Leadership experience managing and growing high-performing teams.
  • Passion for mobile gaming and understanding of player motivations and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience launching games in multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia.
