Job summary

A global technology leader is looking for a Service Manager in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. You will supervise a team of Service Engineers to deliver high-quality service solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety compliance. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical Power engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience in the field. Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in installation, testing & commissioning field for MV and LV Switchgears.
  • Ability to travel throughout Egypt and across the region of Africa.
  • Execute medium to high complexity service work according to ABB quality standards.

ELSE Field Service Manager

In this position you will supervise a team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians and contribute to the execution of the Service strategy and Service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high quality, cost effective service offerings, solutions and projects (e.g. field service, repair) for customers. Drive Service achievements through effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.

You will be mainly responsible for:

  • Ensuring planning and execution of various Service activities carried out both off and on site. Driving and monitoring Service execution with respect to the agreed terms of schedule, quality, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Allocating, driving and monitoring work to projects based on order content, delivery time, competencies and workload. Effectively utilizing available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g. OTD, response time, ordered service offerings, update of installed based data).
  • Ensuring work assignments are accurately classified as warrantee or non-warrantee status. Ensuring that materials and components to feed Service delivery are provided optimizing cost, stock and timing.
  • Collaborating within local service units and with other Service teams to promote One ABB approach towards customers. Building sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction and retention together with Sales. Driving consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback (Net Promoter Score (NPS)).
  • Driving continuous service productivity improvement activities in the assigned Service team in collaboration with the Operational Excellence team. Utilizing efficient tools (Pulsar and Sales Force) to streamline Service processes and applications to support the customer. Ensuring the transfer of Service findings to the product/system local units for improvement of their offerings.
  • Ensuring compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives, and ensuring instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assessing risks and safety hazards and implementing actions to ensure people and equipment safety.
  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, resourced and supervised. Ensuring all Field Service team members are certified in line with global certification and local regulations. Reviewing competence levels to ensure each Service Engineer (including subcontractors) is appropriately qualified to handle jobs assigned to them

Qualifications for the role:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical Power engineering.
  • You are at ease communicating in English & Arabic.
  • Ability to travel all over Egypt and across the region of Africa.
  • Possess good communication skills with clients, management and coworkers.
  • You have minimum 4 years’ experience in installation, testing & commissioning field for MV and LV Switchgears.
  • Execute medium to high complex service work according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality standards and safety guidelines for MV and LV.
  • Contributes to customer satisfaction by planning and executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.
  • Understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.
  • Ensures customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
  • Take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB
