Job description

We’re seeking a Senior Experience Designer to lead design from concept to completion, owning the journey from early ideation and sketching through design development, 3D modelling, visualisation, space planning, and into delivery.

You’ll set the creative vision, translate strategy into compelling spatial narratives, and work hand-in-hand with Production and Technical teams to turn concepts into build-ready solutions and on-site realities.

Core methods include ideation, sketching, 3D modelling, visualisation, space planning, and strong technical knowledge (detailing, materials, fabrication, AV/interactive integration). You’re equally confident shaping ideas in the room with clients and protecting the integrity of the design through tender, fabrication, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Ideation & Concept

  • Generate original concepts for exhibitions, pavilions, activations, and permanent attractions.
  • Rapidly iterate through sketching, 3D massing studies, AI curation and mood boards to establish the signature moments and story arc.

Design Development

  • Convert concepts into spatial floor plans showcasing guest flow and experience touchpoints.
  • Communicate intent via storyboards, look & feel decks, 3D massing, and hero render shots.
  • Direct the visualisation pipeline (3DStudio Max + Unreal preferred) and use AI-assisted mooding/variations to accelerate iteration without compromising craft.
  • Define materials, finishes, FF&E, and technology integration (AV, lighting, interactive systems) with technical partners.

Delivery

  • Produce design intent drawing pack for production to send to suppliers: GA drawings, details, 3D exported models, bespoke technical details as required.
  • Review vendor shop drawings and samples; lead mock-ups and material sign-offs.

On-Site & Completion

  • Conduct site reviews, track snags, and guide contractors to protect creative integrity through install.
  • Lead working sessions and present convincingly to wider teams
  • Mentor mid/junior designers; set clear standards for process, version control, and quality gates across stages.

Pitching & Growth

  • Co-author pitch narratives, experience frameworks, and case studies; help win work through clear storytelling and high quality experience design.
  • Track global benchmarks and KSA-specific trends to keep our practice market-leading.

Core Competencies

  • Concept-to-Completion Ownership
  • Storytelling & Narrative Craft
  • Technical Literacy (materials, build methods, AV/lighting/interactive integration)
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Influence
  • Organisation & Attention to Detail under Deadline
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience: 6–10+ years in experience/exhibition design, museums, destination retail, themed entertainment, or large-scale brand activations (agency/studio).
  • Education: Degree in Experience/Exhibition Design, Architecture, Interior/Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
  • Tools:
    • Adobe CC (Ps/Ai/Id), Figma, Miro
    • 3D (3DS Max/SketchUp – Unreal a plus)
    • Vectorworks (or AutoCAD)
    • Google Slides for presentations
  • AI Literacy: Practical use of Visual AI for research and visualisation, used to accelerate, not replace, design craft.
  • Language: Strong professional English required; Arabic proficiency highly preferred for stakeholder engagement.

Portfolio: Case-study-led portfolio showing leadership from ideation through delivery, with drawings, visuals, and built outcomes.

  • Comprehensive paid time off benefits.
  • Hybrid work model, where our team comes into the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Comprehensive health and life insurance.
  • Monthly breakfasts and monthly social sessions.
  • Select educational support for growth and upskilling.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on multi-million dollar giga-projects that are literally shaping the future of global tourism and culture.
  • We offer a collaborative, international environment where your ideas will be heard and your growth prioritized.
