Job summary

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a Senior Design System Engineer to lead the development and governance of an enterprise Design System. You will bridge design and engineering, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and reusability across digital products.

The role entails building a scalable component library, defining standards, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with designers, PMs, and engineers across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in Front-End Engineering, UI Engineering, or Design System development.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with React and component-based architecture.
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale Design Systems.
• Strong understanding of Design Tokens, Atomic Design, and Component Libraries.
• Experience with Storybook, Figma, and design-to-development workflows.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and responsive design principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities
