The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing complex datasets to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The candidate should play a key role in managing and optimizing data processes, ensuring data quality, and identifying trends and patterns to drive business outcomes. The Senior Data Analyst should possess a background and understanding in Data Warehouse Platform, data integration, ETL processes, and business intelligence to understand the business needs and deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. The candidate preferred to have Techno-Functional skillsets and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other members in the Data Management Office Team and with IT and Business Teams to gather requirements, leveraging skills and experience to define and recommend end-to-end solutions, from data acquisition and modeling to reporting and visualization.
Senior Data Analyst should be a blend of technical, soft skills and personal traits:
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.
- Design and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses.
- Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support decision-making.
- Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively.
- Identify areas for data quality improvement and work with stakeholders to address data issues.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve operational efficiency and performance.
- Guide the business on data quality and governance best practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
- Work closely with offshore team(s) and participate in scrum calls.
- Understand Data Sources and Data Modeling concepts to enhance the existing Data Warehouse and Data Flows.
- Manage business meetings to gather requirements and analyze / translate them into technical specifications for ETL/data pipelines and data models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Business Data Stewards to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate and handle full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in data analysis and data management.
Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications in data management, data science and analytics (e.g., Certified Analytical Professional – CAP / Certified Data Management Professional – CDMP / Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field.
- Experience in statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality management.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data and statistical analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, SPSS, or others.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of data integration lineage tools like INCORTA ETL, Informatica, Collibra, or DataSentinel.
- Ability to understand and analyze both structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
