Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Applications is responsible for overseeing the implementation, customization, and maintenance of business-critical applications used across the organization, such as ERP, CRM, Property and Facility management systems. This role ensures that business applications are effectively integrated into company operations, meet business requirements, and are continuously improved to align with evolving business needs. The Senior Manager, Applications will collaborate with other IT roles to ensure seamless application functionality, provide applications support, and lead IT projects involving business applications.

About the Role
System Implementation, Integration & Customization
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, customization, and ongoing maintenance of business-critical applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, Property and Facility management systems).
  • Lead the configuration and customization of applications to meet the specific needs of various business units (e.g., commercial, operations, HR).
  • Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and ensure applications are tailored to improve workflows and efficiency.
System Selection & Evaluation
  • Assist in evaluating new systems for implementation, working with the Director of IT to assess options and provide recommendations.
  • Contribute to the vendor selection process, ensuring that chosen systems align with the company’s objectives and business requirements.
Application Support & Issue Resolution
  • Provide ongoing support for business applications, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors or third-party providers to ensure that application-related issues are handled within the agreed-upon timelines.
  • Work with users to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues and ensure smooth business operations.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
  • Oversee and ensure the implementation of business-critical application disaster recovery plans that support business continuity, ensuring the organization’s critical Application is resilient to disruptions.
  • Regularly test recovery processes to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster or application failure.
  • Coordinate the recovery and restoration of IT services in the event of an application failure or major IT outage.
User Training & Education
  • Lead user training initiatives, ensuring that employees are equipped to use business applications effectively and take full advantage of system capabilities.
  • Provide documentation and resources to support users in understanding system functionalities and best practices.
Project Management
  • Lead IT-related projects involving business applications, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with various departments to align resources, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Allocate resources effectively, manage risks, and keep stakeholders updated on project progress.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in IT Applications or IT Operation, including at least 3 years of managerial responsibilities.
  • Expertise in leading the implementation and customization of business applications to meet organizational needs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of applications within the broader IT landscape.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading IT projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, including managing SLAs and overseeing vendor relationships.
