Job Purpose

Supports the HSSS management in the comprehensive oversight and coordination of all security operations, ensuring the implementation of robust security measures to safeguard personnel, assets, and organizational interests. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to foster a secure and protected environment. Additionally, the position assists in crisis management, incident investigations, and staff supervision to uphold the highest levels of safety, security, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Security Operations Coordination


  • Assist the Security Manager in overseeing and coordinating daily security operations to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.


Personnel Supervision & Administration


  • Monitor security staff performance, attendance, and administrative requirements, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Conduct investigations related to security incidents, breaches, or procedural violations.


SPS & Crisis Management Compliance.


  • Maintain and update the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) documentation, ensuring all records are current and audit-ready.

  • Review and enhance Crisis Management protocols to ensure preparedness for emergencies.


Operational Oversight & Coordination


  • Conduct regular terminal inspections to assess security measures and identify potential risks.

  • Liaise with the control team to oversee the handling and security of high-value cargo.

  • Organize and supervise monthly security drills and exercises to evaluate readiness and response effectiveness.


Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance


  • Attend and contribute to security-related meetings, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Ensure timely ISPS-compliant ship clearances in accordance with international and company regulations.


Service Excellence


  • Uphold a professional and courteous service standard while managing security personnel schedules and assignments.


Qualification and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields..

  • 5–6 years of professional experience in security operations, law enforcement, or military policing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead teams effectively and enforce security protocols.

  • Proficient in security policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and respond swiftly to security incidents.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in incident investigation and risk management.

  • Excellent English language proficiency (spoken and written).

  • Relevant certifications or specialized training will be considered.
