Job Title: Safety and Security Supervisor
Job Summary:

To ensure the safety of buildings, facilities, occupants, and employees by providing engineering supervision over safety and security systems, implementing occupational health and safety standards, minimizing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations within the property management and real estate development sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise security surveillance systems and CCTV cameras across residential, commercial, and administrative properties, with a focus on safety-related observations.
  • Monitor the movement of employees, tenants, and visitors within properties and ensure adherence to approved safety and security procedures.
  • Implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) systems and standards across all managed properties.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments for buildings and common facilities, including entrances, parking areas, elevators, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure the readiness and effectiveness of building safety systems, including fire alarm systems, emergency exits, emergency lighting, and fire-fighting systems.
  • Monitor contractors and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with safe work practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify, record, and investigate safety incidents and violations, preparing technical reports that include root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with emergency response teams, civil defense authorities, and relevant stakeholders in the event of fires, major failures, or incidents within properties.
  • Prepare periodic technical reports on the overall safety condition of buildings and compliance levels.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures for property management and real estate projects.
  • Participate in reviewing the designs of new real estate developments from a safety and regulatory compliance perspective.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety in buildings.
  • Professional safety certifications (such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of building systems (BMS), fire protection systems, elevators, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with local safety regulations and civil defense requirements related to buildings.
  • Willingness to work in shifts or perform site visits as required.
